Hello everyone!! Using data collection (surveys) can engage the students within the classroom. And it allows teachers to know information they did not know before doing so. I think I will use surveys to get to know the student's lifestyle at the beginning of the new year. Towards the end of the year I will probably make a survey to gage what the students liked or did not like about the school year. It will be interesting how I will actually make it work since I plan on teaching Kindergarten. Maybe the parents can be my main subjects and I'll gain perspective on how they thought the year went. The reporting (Excel) tools will show me the average of how the students answered, allowing me to gain the information easier. As a future educator I would like to know what the children like best knowledge wise and also classroom environment wise.
