Hi! My name is Priscilla Michelle Villegas, I was born on March 10th, 1999, I am 20 years old. My parents are from Cali, Colombia and they met in Miami. I was born and raised in Miami, FL. I have three older brothers and I am the youngest and the only girl in my immediate family. I moved to Tallahassee in June 2019 to commence my first semester here at FSU. My career goal is to become an Elementary educator. I love to reading, listen to music, painting or sketching in my free time.
Using technology has been a part of my life since I was in third grade. When I had to write essays for language arts in 4/5th grade I had to learn how to use Microsoft word. I noticed that technology was being incorporated more and more in my classes. Technology for me was a struggle in the beginning, but once I got the hang of it I liked how efficient it was. I remember the smart boards made the learning process interesting and engaged the class even more.
I hope to learn how to efficiently use Power Point, Excel, and Microsoft etc. I believe it will make life in general a lot easier. Having the advantage of learning about technology will allow me to have fun with lesson planning as a prospective teacher. Also I want to learn shortcuts in the programs we will learn to know how to maneuver my way through Microsoft etc. Being exposed to all the ins and out of technology will help me when I become and Educator when creating posters/worksheets for students.
