Hello everyone!

When I visit the elementary section on the FSUS website, I have the option to read about the teacher and see the newsletters too. I chose the Florida State University Schools because that is where I am currently observing for my EDF 1005 course. I chose the Kindergarten grade level and the teacher is Mrs. Stevens. There are several tabs on Mrs. Stevens website, she has a tab dedicated to pictures. I think that is a great idea because parents can easily visit her website and see what they have been up to. I envision myself using technology to make the teaching and learning process exciting. Technology is supposed to make life in general easier and fun. I am amazed at how technology has progressed since I graduated from High School. I will use technology to improve the students reading and math skills. There are so many websites to teach students about absolutely anything these days. Using the SmartBoard or Promethean provided will allow me to play educational games. I have seen the Kindergartners use ChromeBooks by themselves and go on educational games too. So, I am sure the school will provide all the technology to create an awesome learning environment. 

I absolutely loved the Technology Sandbox. I enjoyed the 3-D printing pens. I believe 3-D printing pens can be used in art classes and also when learning certain topics in the general classroom. For example, when students are learning about the organs of the body they can outline the skeleton, heart, and brain. It will teach them how the physical body looks and help them distinguish different organs. I also experienced virtual reality and thought it was so cool. Students can look through and experience how different places look. It could benefit a geography class because they will engage in the reality of the content.
