Blog Journal 7

Hello everyone!
My Twitter experience has been great so far! I love exploring other educational accounts and seeing other educators post about their classroom activity. Posting twice a week has allowed me to keep up with the advancement of educational technology. Twitter benefits the educational community by bringing everyone together by hashtagging with the same hashtag, like #edtech #educationmatters #AR. So far, I have not experienced any issues with Twitter is has been a delight.

At first the assignment seemed a bit daunting to me, but once I got the hang of Weebly.com it was fun designing my website. I loved experimenting with the layout of each page within my website. I do not think I have anything negative to say about the process of creating my website. I love creating, so this assignment was great for me. Learning how to create a useful website for parents/guardians will make it a breeze in my future educational career. I would like to try other layouts so I can get out of my comfort zone, but other than that I would not change a thing about how I have created this website. Check out my website here, Ms. Villegas's Kindergarten Class. Also check out a screenshot of my 'Home' page below!

Assistive and adaptive technologies are available to support students with disabilities. For example, if the student is visually impaired or hard of hearing, there will be assistive technologies present for them in order to learn. Some adaptive technologies are the braille keyboards for blind students, and animated activities for deaf students. Those are just a few, they are being developed and advancing more and more each day. I have personally have never used assistive or adaptive technologies and within the classroom there weren't students who used them either. The challenges I think I would face with these type of technologies is if I don't get proper training. Without proper training and learning how to communicate with students with disabilities it will be difficult, but manageable.
